Call for Papers: International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning

International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning (IRRODL) www.irrodl.org is inviting papers for an upcoming theme issue on "Student Support." This special theme issue is guest edited by Alan Tait, Open University, UK and will be published in April 2003.

Papers are invited that address the broad area of student or learner support. Papers that address the theme of "Change" will be especially welcome, whether from the perspective of technologies, competition, student characteristics, management, financial issues, or others. Papers that examine subsets of activities that complement the production of learning materials or courseware in open and distance learning and contemporary web supported teaching challenges such a dichotomy will also be welcomed. Authors are asked to ensure that readers will have a clear picture of the learner support system under discussion. Description, however, should serve analysis.

Papers should be between 3,000-6,000 words (not including references) and should follow IRRODL’s house style available online at: http://www.irrodl.org/contrib.html. Papers should be submitted by July 1, 2002 to IRRODL’s Managing Editor at irrodl@athabascau.ca .
