Strategic E-learning Component To Help Raise Technical Fluency Campus-Wide and Help Faculty Leverage Technology in Curriculum

ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 12, 2002 - Element K, a leading provider of training solutions for information technology and business skills, today announced that it has formed a three-year agreement with The University of Memphis, a leading urban state university with 20,000 students, to provide University students, faculty, and staff with a web-based e-learning solution.

The agreement covers 2500 users, and will allow students, faculty, and staff access to desktop and IT training. Faculty will leverage Element K as a tool to educate students and as a strong adjunct to business and engineering curriculum. Element K also will be used as a part of a blended solution, supplementing ILT training for staff. The solution, which is already available within the campus community, will be formally rolled as a component of the University's Advanced Learning Center, a campus-wide initiative to accelerate the faculty's incorporation of technology into the educational experience. The Advanced Learning Center is set to kickoff on July 1, 2002.
