Dr. Farhad Saba is CEO and co-founder of Distance-Educator.com, a hub for consulting, news, information, instructional design, and products focusing 0n distance education. He is also Professor of Educational Technology at San Diego State University where he teaches course in distance education, cyberculture and multimedia.
With 30 years of experience, Dr. Saba has been involved in all aspects of distance education from policy analysis to development design and implementation of large-scale systems. Recent projects include a web-based global knowledge management system for the World Bank, an annual seminar and workshop on videoconferencing linking 5 regional technology centers in the County of San Diego, and assisting the College of Extended Studies at San Diego State University to expand its distance education programs.
He served as the Managing Director of Educational Radio and Television in Iran from 1973 until 1978 and the Director of Telecommunications Division, The University of Connecticut from 1980 to 1984. He has managed large scale training projects and presented in professional conferences in many countries including Afghanistan, The People's Republic of China, Great Britain, France, Malaysia, Mexico, Sweden, Switzerland (The United Nations), and Turkey.
